Favorites

When you find a workout that is ideal for you, Make it a "favorite" so you can easily find it again and again. Here's how you do that...

Click the "Add to Favorites" button. The heart will turn red.

After saving your first video as a favorite, a new Favorites category will show up at the top of your video library.

Workout Styles

AVAILABLE IN TWO FORMATS

1. LIVE CLASSES are 40-50 minutes and they have a specific start time

2. RECORDED WORKOUTS are 15-30 minutes and they are on demand: do them anytime you want.

BASIC
Great for beginners because we go slow and I offer modifications. But BASIC also is excellent for intermediates looking for functional fitness that focuses on strength, flexibility, and balance.

FIT
The Fit style begins with centering breaths and dynamic stretch movements. Then we raise the heart rate and expand the lungs with active, low-impact cardio moves. We finish with feel-good deep stretches.

STRETCH
The Stretch style is a wonderfully relaxing experience that includes deep breathing and long stretch positions. Improve mobility, increase range-of-motion, and ease pain.

FLOW
The Flow style works best for intermediates and people without mobility restrictions. It features movements combined with focused breathing. These yoga-style movements and positions open, stretch, and strengthen the body.

STRENGTH
Strength classes use several types of equipment, like dumbbells, resistance bands, ankle weights, as well as body weight positions to improve muscle tone and bone density. Make sure to do your strength work each week.

CHAIR
These workouts are deal for anyone with mobility restrictions. Chair workouts are simple but not easy! We improve strength, flexibility, and balance with the support (seated and standing) of a chair for safety.

Live Classes

I offer several live classes every month. All live classes are included in your membership. But you still have to register for each class to get the Zoom link.

Replays

If you can't attend the live class, do the replay later. It's so convenient! I post a high quality recording of each live class to the REPLAY LIBRARY within a few hours of the broadcast.

HAK (Hips, Ankles, & Knees)
Maintaining strength in the hips, ankles, and knees is one of the most important things you can do for your longterm mobility and pain reduction. Protect your hips, ankles, and knees and improve your balance by doing the five HAK workouts regularly.

Increasing muscle mass and bone density is essential if you want to stay ahead for your future. By following this program, you'll keep your muscles and bones strong so you don't fall behind. You'll feel and function so much better when you keep your body strong!

There are many benefits to improved breathing including: stress management, faster healing, better sleep, relaxation, increased happiness, and perhaps most important, maintaining full breath capacity to avoid shortness of breath later in life. You'll give yourself all these benefits in this 4-part series.

HipPower
HipPower workouts make your hips stronger and more mobile. Do these workouts for six weeks and you’ll notice how much easier you move throughout your day. Plus, it’s great for improving your golf or tennis game, hiking, dancing, gardening, or whatever you love to do.

Weekly Emails

Every week I send member-only emails. These emails are important for a couple of reasons.

  • They keep you informed of new content and activities going on with you StayAhead membership.
  • They keep you motivated! You'll feel more like doing your workouts when you see positive comments and pictures from other members, uplifting quotes, and the latest video workouts I've posted to the library.

Equipment

Equipment is not necessary to do many of the StayAhead workouts. However, a few small and inexpensive pieces of equipment can be very helpful.

About Drew

Hey there! I'm Drew. Nice to meet you :)

I've been a certified yoga teacher and fitness trainer for 22 years. Before I got into fitness I was a medical researcher at Craig Rehabilitation Hospital, in Denver.

In my younger days, I played every sport imaginable. Once my competitive playing days were over I got into yoga. I found it so beneficial. But I noticed it was missing some things. So I started doing other kinds of functional fitness exercises and I took a lot of training programs. I discovered that the combination of yoga, strength training, and functional exercises are ideal for the second half of life. Add in moderate movement for heart and lung health, and that's the StayAhead Fitness method.

The second half of life is the best half! But we need to do more to take care of our bodies than we did in the first half. Our workouts should be enjoyable so we look forward to them. Yet they also should address our specific needs:

  • Strength for muscle mass and bone density
  • Flexibility for ease of movement and pain reduction
  • Balance for more stable movements and to avoid falls
  • Cardio/Respiratory to give the heart and lungs the right amount of healthy exercise
  • Deep Breathing to avoid shortness of breath and for stress management

FAQs

Before you start...
Consult with your health care provider before beginning your StayAhead workouts. There is risk with this and any fitness program and your participation in this program is at your own risk. Be sure your body is ready for active movement.

Do you send out member emails every week?
Yes! I send out an email every Sunday morning with fitness tips, recommended workouts, and other member updates. These emails are a big part of your membership. So be sure they are getting to your inbox.

Why am I not receiving your emails?
Emails sometimes go to a junk folder or if you use gmail, they may go to your “promotions” or “social” tabs. Look around your email program to see if you can find my emails which are from 
drew@stayaheadfitness.com. Be sure to “whitelist” or “safelist” my email address to ensure you’ll never miss my messages. Let me know if you still can’t find it. I’ll be glad to help.

Does my membership renew automatically?
Yes! For your convenience, your membership will renew every month or year depending on which membership you signed up for. If you want to stop the auto-renewal, you’ll need to cancel your membership.

Videos aren't playing correctly for me. What do I do?
The company I use for video hosting has a very robust system that rarely goes down or has delays. It's likely that the problem is with your computer, your web browser, or your Internet connection. Old equipment, old browsers, and poor Internet connections often are the problem. If your equipment is relatively new (within 5-8 years) and your operating system is up-to-date then your equipment should be adequate. Try restarting your computer or clearing the cache on your Internet browser (
INSTRUCTIONS HERE). If you try these suggestions and are still having video play issues, let me know and I will reach out to my video hosting company.

How do I change my membership between the month and annual options?
1. LOG-IN and go to the video library
2. Click DASHBOARD
3. Click BILLING
4. Click CHANGE PLAN
5. Choose the membership you want.

NOTE: Your credit card will be charged automatically for whichever plan you choose at your next billing cycle. Let me know if you need help with this.

How do I change my name or email address?
1. Click LOG-IN from the menu
2. Click DASHBOARD
3. Click PROFILE
4. Enter new name or email

NOTE: These instructions only change the email address for your StayAhead account. To change your email address for the weekly emails, click the UPDATE LINK at the bottom of any StayAhead email newsletter. Let me know if you need help with this.

How do I change my password?
1. Click LOG-IN from the menu
2. Click DASHBOARD
3. Click SECURITY
4. Enter a new password


I lost my password. How do I reset it?
1. Click LOG-IN from the menu
2. Click “Forgot Password”
3. Reset your password.

How do I change my credit card?
1. Click LOG-IN from the menu
2. Click DASHBOARD
3. Click BILLING
4. Click USE ANOTHER CARD
5. Update your credit card

How do I cancel my membership?
1. Click LOG-IN from the menu
2. Click DASHBOARD
3. Click BILLING
4. Click CHANGE PLAN
5. Click CANCEL

NOTE: You can re-join any time. However, you will lose the current rate you enrolled at when prices go up. Unsubscribing from the email newsletter DOES NOT cancel your membership. Be sure to follow the cancellation steps above to cancel your membership and avoid being charged the following month or year.

Do you offer refunds?
I offer a FREE 7-day trial so you can decide if the StayAhead membership is a good fit for you.

If you cancel BEFORE your 7-day trial ends, your credit card will not be charged.

If you cancel AFTER your 7-day trial ends, you will be charged for the current month or year, but you will not be charged again.
